Residents in Sanford face worsening odor issues from the wastewater treatment plant near Lake Monroe as a temporary exhaust fan has failed.
City officials said a custom odor control fan — scheduled for delivery the week of Nov 24 — will be installed the same day, and an extra temporary fan — to be put in place soon — is planned as part of improved maintenance protocols.

FSU freshman Ethan Pritchard of Sanford returned to the field at Doak Campbell Stadium two days after discharge and was honored for his recovery from a head shot in August—a case of mistaken identity.
He now undergoes intensive physical therapy five days a week to relearn walking and build strength for a full return to play.
