ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Traffic on eastbound I-4 in Seminole and Volusia counties was slowed Thursday morning for law enforcement to investigate a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred a few weeks ago near Lake Mary Blvd.— The slowdown affected areas south of Dirksen Drive and the ramp to I-95. FOX 35 Orlando

- ➤ Sanford’s city manager Norton Bonaparte said his team is repairing the wastewater facility on the south shore of Lake Monroe by replacing an odor control unit and modifying the sludge drying system—steps taken after weeks of residents reporting an unbearable smell. WKMG
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A post on Hagerty High School PTSA page carried the message 'Stay: Tomorrow Needs You' after a 16-year-old from Hagerty, a 15-year-old softball player from Winter Springs, and a 15-year-old baseball player from Lyman High School died by suicide this week — prompting Lyman to cancel games and practices. Mental health experts and school counselors are now offering support and urging families to use crisis resources. WESH
- ➤ Three students from Seminole County Public Schools died recently and the district confirmed mental health resources are available; mental health counselor Natasha D'Arcangelo from Lbee Health told FOX 35's Good Day Orlando how parents can talk with their kids to spot warning signs — advice meant to encourage early intervention.
