  • Ace Cafe Sanford opened yesterday in historic downtown Sanford at a 100-year-old feed store on N. Laurel Ave (renovated to house a restaurant, live music venue, and retail space) that keeps its original charm. The weekend will feature an all-day Biketoberfest with live music, outdoor bars, and a full menu.  FOX 35 Orlando

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Seminole County Public Schools is offering mental health support after three students died by suicide this week—a 15-year-old from Lyman, a 15-year-old from Winter Springs, and a 16-year-old from Hagerty—and advises families to use 24-hour crisis hotlines (988, 833-GET-HOPE, and 2-1-1) for immediate help.  WESH

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Seminole County has launched a new ride-share program called Scout that operates in five neighborhood zones named after local waterways and provides rides seven days a week. The service connects riders to schools, hospitals, parks and government services—four zones even include a SunRail station for regional transit links.  WFTV
