- ➤ A Seminole County woman said she was too frightened to go home after she saw a naked man in her Sanford backyard while breastfeeding her baby. Sanford police arrested 40-year-old Robin Carr after she reported he was exposing himself and her boyfriend chased him, leading to a fight that broke his hand—Carr is held on a $15,000 bond. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sanford officials are considering a proposed fire fee that would add about $95 per year for property owners—aimed at funding critical fire department improvements and covering costs like shorter shifts. The city commission has advanced the process by sending letters to homeowners, and a final vote will occur early September. WKMG
- ➤ Sanford Police Department plans to switch from Sig Sauer to Glock firearms because the FBI warned that the Sig can fire without pulling the trigger—adding an extra $30,000 as the city council votes today on the change and tomorrow on the cost. WFTV
