- ➤ A lightning strike detonated a set of fireworks during the city's July 4th celebration — no injuries were reported by Mayor Art Woodruff — and officials canceled the fireworks display while assessing tonight's festivities. WESH

- ➤ Erik Denson from Oviedo, a NASA engineer and diving instructor, leads Diving with a Purpose, a nonprofit that documents old shipwrecks like the Guerrero from 1827+ and preserves ocean history with field schools in Key Largo and artifact recovery now at a museum. He also works on electrical design for the Artemis program at Kennedy Space Center. WESH
