- ➤ Seminole County officials approved a new on-demand public transportation service called Scout that will allow riders to request shared door-to-door trips using a smartphone app or a dedicated phone line starting in October. The service will run in defined zones and offer wheelchair-accessible rides to schools, medical centers, job hubs and SunRail stops. WFTV

- ➤ Registration for youth soccer and flag football is open in Sanford at the Jett Triplett Community Center — youth soccer for kids aged 4 to 10 will start in September and flag football for ages 5 to 14 is available — and will close on August 13 or once spots are filled. WESH
