Good morning, Sanford.
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will celebrate its 50th anniversary next month with a limited-time historical gallery in the Wayne Densch building—featuring photos, milestones, and behind-the-scenes moments from its history.

Seminole County deputies arrested Yunier Batista-Pena, 43, and Javier David Carralero-Vidal, 28, on Tuesday at a Sanford Sam’s Club on Rinehart Road after a tip led them to find the men using fraudulent EBT cards to buy coffee pallets, with receipts linking them to similar activity at a nearby Walmart—both face charges of fraud, grand theft, embezzlement, identity theft and, for one, fentanyl possession.
U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost introduced the SUDEM Act on June 18 to require ICE detention centers to report who is detained, where, when, and why they are held+ and to protect due process rights.
