Good morning, Sanford. Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 6th of June.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Sanford will soon welcome its first Costco at Seminole Towne Center as part of a multi-million-dollar redevelopment project, according to county records. The proposed warehouse could span over 156,000 square feet with a parking lot for 847 vehicles—making it one of the largest in the area.  WKMG

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Nearly three years after Hurricane Ian damaged the marina, the city is asking FEMA to reconsider its lower funding proposal and provide clear policy explanations—Mayor Woodruff said repairs costing about $18 million remain on hold until an agreement is reached.
