  • ➤ Sanford approved a $126,000 contract with Clarke Environmental last Monday to drop safe pellets along Lake Monroe for midge mitigation—work scheduled from May through September aims to prevent the summer nuisance of non-biting midges in key breeding zones.  WESH

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • ➤ Seminole County is set to cut most Lynx bus service and switch to on-demand micro transit from a private vendor due to low ridership, and officials aim to select a vendor by October 1. County staff are working to keep key routes into Orange County & local communities while they gather more feedback on fares and schedules.  WESH
