- ➤ The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County warns Sanford residents to avoid Lake Jesup because blue-green algae in the water may produce toxins, and water testing is underway to check the risk. WFTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Seminole County officials held active shooter drills last week at a storefront in Oviedo Mall and ran a mass casualty exercise with over 60 hospitals—training first responders for violent events. Division manager Steven Lerner said the drills prepare teams to work together and urged community members to report anything unusual—helping to stop incidents before they occur. WESH
