- ➤ State Attorney Monique Worrell said her office has faced a backlog of over 13,000 nonarrest cases dating back to 2012 and asked for 13 more prosecutors and support staff—Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said his office would add four extra attorneys at a Monday morning press conference to help with the issue. Worrell warned that without a long-term fix the case backlog will grow and stressed her commitment to keeping public safety first. WESH
