CRIME NEWS

  • Demetria Latimer was extradited to Volusia County on Tuesday morning after she allegedly stole $52K from an Orange City resident in a fake excavator sale on Facebook Marketplace—officers tracked her with bank records from outside Detroit and the victim has received her money back.  WESH

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Seminole County’s Board of Commissioners approved $184,000 in funding to add fences at Fire Station 12 and Fire Station 14 and to improve lighting and cameras at other stations if funds remain—after a dozen vehicles were broken into while firefighters responded to calls. Officials said the security upgrades will help protect first responders—ensuring they remain safe while serving the community.  FOX 35 Orlando
