CRIME NEWS

  • A 20-year-old suspect — wanted in Georgia for violent home invasions and armed robberies — was arrested in Seminole County jail on March 12 at 7 a.m. and faces charges of attempted first-degree premeditated murder for a 2022 Sanford shooting at Seminole Gardens apartments that injured one person.  WKMG

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • An Atlanta-based real estate group has closed on the 76-acre Seminole Towne Center property (excluding a few open stores) and plans a mixed-use project with retail, multifamily and hotel spaces. Sanford Mayor Art Woodruff said full redevelopment will take 5 to 10 years while work will begin soon (showing promise for our community).  WESH
