Good morning, Sanford.

Sanford will host a Golf Cart Registration event on February 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall — for new registrations, residents must bring a valid driver’s license and their golf cart, while renewals require a registration number and $25 paid in cash, check or money order.

Consumer Reports experts advise homeowners to cut indoor pollutants from cooking fumes, pet dander, and cleaning products by opening windows, using exhaust fans, and changing filters.

Sanford residents can add air purifiers — the Blueair Blue Pure 311i+ Max and Honeywell AirGenius 5 HFD-320 — for better air quality.

Local plumbers advise residents to cover outdoor pipes with an old towel and disconnect hoses as temperatures hit the 20s for several hours.

Taylor Maroney from Modern Plumbing Industries recommends keeping pool water running overnight to prevent freezing.
