Learn karate! Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA will teach you self-defense, discipline and martial arts history. This is a traditional and influential style of Okinawan karate, emphasizing speed, agility and practical self-defense, rooted in ancient fighting methods derived from Chinese martial arts.

Under the direction of Hanshi Robert Scaglione, Shihan Justin Thompson, Ni-dan or 2nd-degree Black Belt, teaches class at 6 pm Mondays with Bo weapons training at 7 pm and class at 6 pm Wednesdays at Central Florida Shorin-Ryu Karate Dojo at Casselberry Aquatics Center and Park at Wirz Park, 806 Mark David Blvd., Casselberry, Florida 32707.

Karate classes are for those ages 10 and up (no age limit), and gives you access to 5 other USRKUSA Florida schools, including Merritt Island, Viera (Melbourne), West Melbourne, Wickham Park in Melbourne and Cape Canaveral. We also offer weapons training for the Bo, Kama, Tuifa, Sai and Nunchucks. Workouts include training on the beach, Black Belt classes, advanced training, and test preparation.

Hanshi Robert Scaglione learned from his Sensei, Master Ansei Ueshiro, who brought Shorin-Ryu Karate to the US in September 1962.
