Be Kind To Your Mind

About this event

Be Kind to Your Mind is held every second Tuesday of the month from 6PM-7:30PM at the Little Red House. This community gathering is led by and for peers, 18+, that want to support one another in an affirming environment that welcomes vulnerability.

Those of all sexual orientations, genders, ages, and disabilities as well as those of diverse neurological, racial, religious, and cultural backgrounds are welcomed. Join us for fuzzy blankets, light snacks, supportive conversation as we connect with one another, show solidarity, and give/recieve support.

You do not need to share to attend. Your role as a supportive listener is equally as important. We are excited to take the time together to disconnect from social media and build a new supportive community. New faces always welcomed.

Be Kind to Your Mind Comfort Agreement (subject to change based on input & needs of those in space) - In this space we...

1. Respect confidentiality; what’s said here stays here (unless otherwise consented to).

2. Give everyone an equal chance to share (if they want to).

3. Ask before giving words of support, asking questions, or giving advice/antidotes

4. No # (numbers) or comments surrounding diet & weight

5. We do not tolerate bigotry, intended or not, & we take accountability if harm occurs.

6. Remain receptive to differing perspectives/choices/behaviors; withholding any judgements

7. Agree to disagree if compromise/common-ground cannot be found
