This heartwarming dramatic comedy delivers laughs, a few tears, and a reminder of the ties that bind us. Marcello (beloved Israeli musician Pablo Rosenberg), a 53-year-old Argentinian-Israeli aspiring (and neurotic) film director, shares a crowded home with his wife, their adult children, a son-in-law, a grandchild, a crazy cat, and a sharp-tongued mother-in-law in a modest neighborhood in Israel. His life is in total chaos. But when his estranged Argentine “philosopher” father and younger sister with a cognitive disability suddenly arrive for “only” a month-long visit after a decade apart, the drama—and the comedy—hit the roof. This charming look at forgiveness, family chaos, and bridging generations offers spirited humor, tender moments, and a refreshing reminder of what family is all about.
