About the Event

Join us in Orlando, Florida, for a fun, interactive cartoon voice acting workshop at Phat Planet Recording Studios!

Whether you've always wanted to voice a cartoon character or you're an experienced voice actor looking to strengthen your animation skills, this workshop is all about exploring creativity, making bold character choices, and bringing animated personalities to life.

Throughout this 3-hour, in-studio workshop, we'll dive into the world of voice acting for cartoons and animated films, focusing on character development, vocal versatility, script interpretation, and comedic timing. You'll have the opportunity to perform at the microphone, receive personalized direction, and explore new ways to bring authenticity, personality, and emotion to your characters.

Every participant will receive a professionally recorded copy of their work at the microphone. You'll get to hear your performances captured in a professional recording environment, giving you a valuable reference as you continue developing your voice acting skills.

ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS ARE WELCOME!

If you're brand new to voiceover, we'll provide a supportive, encouraging environment where you can learn the fundamentals of animation voice acting and discover what your voice can do.

If you're already working in the industry, we'll challenge you to push your vocal range, strengthen your character choices, explore greater emotional depth, and bring more nuance and spontaneity to your performances.

Our goal is to make this an exciting, collaborative experience where you can step outside your comfort zone, experiment with new characters, and rediscover the FUN of voice acting!

Workshop highlights:

• Hands-on cartoon and animation voice acting training

• Character creation, development, and vocal versatility

• Comedic timing, emotional expression, and script interpretation

• Individualized coaching and live performance direction
