5K Turkey Trot 2026

About this event

🦃 Join us for the GRO Gaining 5K Turkey Trot with celebrity ambassador and pro golfer Kamaiu Johnson at Blue Jacket Park, Orlando on Thanksgiving morning!

📍 Location: Blue Jacket Park · Baldwin Park, Orlando 2501 General Rees Ave, Orlando, FL 32814, USA

📅 Date: Thursday, November 26th

⏰ Schedule:

• Registration begins at 7:00 a.m.

• Race kicks off at 8:00 a.m.

This isn't just a race, it's a run for a cause. 50% of every ticket feeds families in need this Thanksgiving. The other 50% sends a young adult into a life-changing trades career. 🧡

🍽️ Half feeds families.

No one embodies why this matters like our ambassador Kamaiu Johnson — who rose from childhood poverty in Tallahassee's 32304 community to competing on golf's biggest stage. In that same community:

• 1 in 5 families struggles with food insecurity

• The poverty rate is 51.1% , compared to Florida's 12.9% average

• Nearly half of children live below the poverty line

Your ticket helps put food on the table for families facing those odds.

🔧 Half builds futures.

The other half funds GRO trades scholarships — and here's why that's such a powerful gift:

• You help a young adult train for a career earning a median of $60,000+ a year — with no student debt

• America needs about 349,000 more skilled trade workers this year alone — real, in-demand jobs waiting to be filled

• GRO scholarships cover tuition, tools, AND certifications — everything it takes to go from day one to a first paycheck

• These are careers that can't be outsourced or automated — the electricians, plumbers, and HVAC techs who build our communities

Just like Kamaiu, our scholars prove that the right opportunity at the right moment can change the whole trajectory of a life. 💫

🎟️ Pick your ticket — two ways to run:

⏱️ Early Bird

• 5K Run — $30

• 5K Run + Bootcamp — $40

🎫 Regular

• 5K Run — $35

• 5K Run + Bootcamp — $50

🏋️ NEW this year:

Add the post-race Bootcamp powered by Limitless Fitness and burn some extra Thanksgiving calories. Same great cause, double the sweat.

Every ticket includes:

• Entry into the 5K Turkey Trot

• A chance to run alongside Kamaiu, community members, and supporters

• A real, double impact — a full plate today and a full career tomorrow

Run with purpose. Run with heart. Run for change. 🦃🏃♀️🏃♂️
